Answers to common questions about Qrpto
A dead man's switch is a security mechanism that activates when the user fails to perform a required action, such as checking in periodically. In Qrpto's case, this means automatically publishing pre-configured information if you're unable to prevent it from happening.
Qrpto uses AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by governments and militaries worldwide. Your data remains encrypted at all times until release conditions are met. We cannot access your information even if we wanted to.
If you miss a scheduled check-in, Qrpto will first send you multiple reminders through various channels (email, SMS, app notification). Only after all reminders have been missed and your grace period expires will the system proceed with your release protocol.
Yes, as long as you respond within your configured grace period. Every account can set a custom grace period during which you can stop an imminent release by completing your check-in protocol.
You decide where your information is published. Options include email to specific recipients, social media accounts, secure file transfers to journalists or organizations, and more. You configure these destinations during setup.
